My Stage
03:22
|
|||
Through my lens I live my life, on this screen I'll die. One day, one night, one lie.
Every face I touch it aches, every word is lies. Nothing real behind the eyes.
And I'm always on the run.
Begging for forgiveness to mend my evil ways, There must be more to my life than counting off the days.
A prisoner of nowhere, statistic on a page, I'm damned if I'll go quietly, my life, my world, my stage.
What you have you had to make what I've got I took, it never lets me off the hook.
It seems so real, seems like life, you still loose when you win, where does it end and I begin.
And I'm always on the run.
Begging for forgiveness to mend my evil ways, there must be more to my life than counting off the days.
A prisoner of nowhere, statistic on a page, I'm damned if I'll go quietly, my life, my world, my stage.
My life, my world, my stage. My life, my world, my stage.
My life, my world, my stage. My life, my world, my stage.
And I'm always on the run.
Begging for forgiveness to mend my evil ways, there must be more to my life than counting off the days.
A prisoner of nowhere, statistic on a page, I'm damned if I'll go quietly, my life, my world, my stage.

Run Me Down

Run Me Down
You can find me in the vestry You can find me in alley way
Are you ever gonna leave me? How much more must I pay?
Though I run from Town to Town You're gonna run me down
Don't wanna be your quarry or their clown
You're gonna run me down
I'm runnin till my shoes melt I curse the cards that I'm dealt
Their smiles are what I fear Their inner voices that I hear
This endless double talking makes me DROWN You're gonna run me down
Don't wanna be your quarry or their clown
You're gonna run me down
Does anyone here see me or is it doubt that makes me?
If you ever wanna make it out ignore the anguish when I shout
I'm tired of smiling just to hide a FROWN You're gonna run me down
Don't wanna be your quarry or their clown
You're gonna run me down

Electric Guzzoline

Electric Guzzoline
Lying dying in the dirt burning in the midday sun
There they came from the shadows my pain must be done
I begged for mercy they gave me guzzoline
Stood back and waited to pick my carcass clean
While I'm blind to see my saviour I can feel my blood run cold
And all the prmoises they sold me gagged and bound and growing old
When I asked for justice they gave me guzzoline
leant in close and whispered FORGET WHAT YOU'VE SEEN

I Might Have Known
04:03
|
|||
Talk on corners and whispers on the street
is this the kind of place you liked to meet
I might have known, I might have known
Smell the air and the city heat
that old familiar feeling I hate the greet
I might have known, I might have known
Time again when we're laid so low
begging for the strength to just let go
I might have known, I might have known
Count the days and all the ways you'd lie
In many ways for better days I'd cry
I'm almost out I'm almost free
you drag me back just let me be
I might have known, I might have known
Then comes the dawn with it's warming light
and distant memories of fighting in the night
I might have known, I might have known
Count the days and all the ways you'd lie
In many ways for better days I'd die

The Water

The Water
Mary, Mary let your tears rain down on me
I'm tired of these chains and the past won't let me be!
One of these days these cries will set me free.
I've walked a thousand miles I've had a million shattered dreams.
For every step I took I've fallen more than it seems.
My sin is such my soul may never be clean.
Hold me in the water hold me now and please don't let me go
in the water hold me now and please don't let me go
Won't you take me home
Won't you take me home
Won't you take me home
Won't you take me home
Won't you take me home
Won't you take me home
Take me home
